Dr. Jeff Chism, DPM

Dr. Chism grew up in Wisconsin and attended University of Wisconsin-Superior before beginning his podiatric training. He recieved his training at Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami, Florida. His Surgical residency training was completed at Columbus Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. Before returning to Wisconsin to open his practice in Merrill, Dr. Chism treated patients in Florida, Illinois and Wisconsin. He has been serving the Central Wisconsin area since 1997. 

Dr. Chism is also an inventor, holding a patent for a post-operative orthopedic rehabilitation device, the Flexboot.

Outside of the practice Dr. Chism is a family man who enjoys sports and spending time at the Chism Trail Ranch.  He coached both his daughters' volleyball teams, and has also traveled across the country competing with his family in various rodeo events. 

Dr. Sarah Thompson, DPM

Dr. Sarah Thompson was born and raised in Central Wisconsin. She received her bachelor’s degree at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in Biology with a Pre- Med Emphasis.

After graduating from UW-Milwaukee Dr. Thompson attended Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines Iowa. She received her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine in 2012. During her time at Des Moines University, Dr. Thompson was an active member of many professional organizations such as the Student Chapter of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (SCACFAS), American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine (AAPSM) and American Association for Women Podiatrists (AAWP).

Dr. Thompson then completed a 3 year podiatric medicine and surgical residency at SSM DePaul Health Center in St. Louis, Missouri.  While in residency she received extensive training in elective and non-elective forefoot and rear foot surgery, trauma and diabetic foot care. In June 2015, Dr. Thompson had an article published in Podiatry Today Volume 28 number 6, titled Assessing and Treating the Subtle Cavus Foot Deformity. Dr. Thompson also completed an advanced month long rotation in foot and ankle surgical training in Germany.

Outside of work Dr. Thompson enjoys traveling locally and abroad. Dr. Thompson also enjoys live music, camping, fishing, hunting and spending time with family and friends.
